Taylor Jenkins Reid is an amazing storyteller. No matter the subject, she brings it and the people in her books to life. I found this story of the early years of women in the space program engrossing. And now that I've read more about Sally Ride's personal life, I realize that the inspiration for the love story was closer to the truth than I had imagined.

Oh TJR, you couldn't write a bad book even if you tried. This one was so. good. It revolved around a topic I had minimal interest in (before starting) but it didn't matter; TJR will make you heavily invested no matter the subject matter. She could write a book about the nuances of watching paint dry, and I would still read it. The characters within this story are so rich and complex. They will melt your heart and then break it all within the same paragraph. I was so entranced by this story that I finished it in 2 days. I found myself thinking about the characters when I wasn't reading it and yet still here I am, thinking about it after finishing it. TJR, pleeease never stop writing 🩵
