The last 50 pages are an emotional whirlwind. This was glorious, so far my best read of 2025.

The plot is relatively straightforward; by page 50 you can probably tell all that's going to happen... But it's the how the author gets there that matters.

There's no overcomplicated prose, no cryptic scenes to decypher, no hollow story resting only on beautiful words. It's honest, straightforward, gripping, and the most emotional thing I've read for a while. I loved it.
