Oh, the feels!!
What a fantastic story!!
It contained love, smart women, space exploration, motherhood, and so much heart!
Taylor Jenkins Reid is so masterful at pulling you in with her stories and I was pulled in immediately.
I enjoyed the way the story moved in the timeline between past and present.
Bravo, Taylor!

4.5 stars - I love how TJR is able to encapsulate you so completely in the world of the characters (which in this book is NASA). It feels so real and educational at the same time. It did lose that a bit in the middle and became much more largely focused on the romance, but I didn’t mind that at all and really enjoyed that aspect!

I also just think that TJR books make me think so much. There’s so many insightful quotes just squeezed in there that take my breath away. I think due to the theme of the book, this one especially had so many lovely sentiments about humanity that I just loved!!

The ending of this left me sobbing like a baby. I absolutely adored Joan and Vanessa’s relationship but also Joan’s relationship with Frances. I feel like you could tell the work TJR put into making the space travel and all the workings of Mission Control at NASA as accurate as possible, which really grounded their struggle for acceptance in reality. Loved!
