This book had me rolling on the  floor crying and screaming. i was BROKEN. I love lennie and george so much. It really makes you love the characters and feel for them thatn stabs you in the  back and stomps on your face. fuck you john steinbeck

My second John Steinbeck novel (after the Pearl), solidifying one of my newfound favorite authors. amazing writing, amazing setup and description and characters, and I don’t see things coming until right before they happen and then I am shocked. The second novel where this happens. Definitely reading more Steinbeck :)
