Wow what amazing read. Lennon Is taken from her daily life and told she is going to one college and will be living with a house full of guys and with her stepbrother.. Duke tries keeping Lennon at arm’s length as does not want to admit has felling for Lennon. Mason is dark and angry with mood swings that give you whiplash. Mason is a darker shade of mental illness that grabs your heart strings. And Bear is a big teddy bears with the whole dad act. These alpha males have one issue and that is a little string tied to Lennon finger. These men will do anything for her and cover their feelings by pushing her away. Their is witty and push pull emotions during this fast pace read. Can’t wait to read the next book.

So I DNF’d this at 60% simply because it couldn’t hold my attention to finish. I have so many ARC’s rn, I do want to come back to this tho, just not till next year.

just wow

I usually wait until I’ve finished a series to review, but I had to say my thoughts immediately. This was gripping me from the get go. The mystery, the back and forth. And the men. Oh my gosh. Bear and mason giving me all the feels. Good bad and ugly. Still undecided on duke. Can’t wait to dive into book two!

So going in I thought this one would be a lot like Hawthorn, but it really wasn’t. I wouldn’t call this a bully romance, which was completely fine, I guess I just kind of expected it.

Bear so far is my favorite, though I love Mason’s crazy and Duke’s assholery. I can already see where our MM will be coming from and I think maybe its already happened in the past from the vibes they give off. I won’t say I love this one as much as the first series, because right now I did find it kind of fell flat. Like not a whole lot of plot happened, we find out some interesting things about Lennon, but I’m ready to get to the dark side of things.

Lennon is thrown in Bainbridge Hall by her cringy step dad, and we have the whole step brother trope with Duke. Mason is the “scary” one who tries to choke her to death…but she happened to be sleepwalking like wtf lol. Bear is the protective daddy which yes please. He keeps them all in line. I’m excited to get more into the story in Bear! And I can’t wait to see Duke’s cover!

The start of the Bainbridge hall series gave me some similar vibes to the start of the Hawthorne hall series. If you liked that series you will love Mason but it’s not necessary to read for this book.

Lennon is sassy and doesn’t like to take any crap from the guys. She connects easily with bear, understands Mason, and butts heads with duke.

Bear is a giant teddy bear and I loved him throughout the entire book.

Mason is dark and moody and I loved the way he and Lennon connected.

Duke is a jerk and I just wanted him to shake him for half the book. I have a feeling once he opens up to Lennon they will spark some fireworks.

I can’t wait to see what Leila has in store for the rest of the series.
