This whole series is fun but definitely exceeds my typical tolerance for silliness.

This was the delightful wrap up to the series. I was hesitant with the shift of POV, though I love Bastille. Overall it was an awesome romp of a kitten stampede!

The ending! I was worried I wouldn't like Bastille's narration as much as Alcatraz's, but she was great while also being different from Alcatraz. Janci did a great job. And this was a really good conclusion. We got the lighter tone back, the story got a conclusion, and there was even an epilogue. This was a really fun series that I would highly recommend. Reminded me of when I read Artemis Fowl because I had a lot of fun with that series too. And lastly, not sure if I mentioned this before, but this series might do a better job of executing what Sanderson was going for in The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England. Just a thought.

Getting Bastille’s POV was really fun. I enjoyed some of the clever uses of lenses/talents near the end and the way the big bad villain got taken out. I appreciated not having to experience Alcatraz’s trauma first hand but it also seemed to take away from the depth of the story after five books of being inside his head and now…not.

It’s difficult to review the last book in a tween series when my kids are now grown and I read the other books so long ago. That being said, it felt like an appropriate conclusion for the series. I really hope I get to read all 6 with grandkids someday.

Great end to this series. Can't wait till my kids are old enough to read this.
