This was a great conclusion to the series. I thoroughly enjoyed that it was written from Bastille’s perspective and felt she had her own distinct voice while still fitting in with the flavor of the rest of the series. She’s a fantastic character and I’m glad she had the chance to have a more prominent role this time.
I’ll admit we missed the addendum when we read book 5 as an ebook and had two very disappointed kids when we finished it. And after reading book 6, I get the sense we were not alone.
Disclosure: I received a free ARC copy from a Goodreads giveaway.

I don't know how else this could have ended for it to be so good.
I am not a huge fan of Janci's writing, because it is much to teenage drama (I lived it once, I would rather never relive it again). This was a well written book, and she did a fantastic job working in somebody else's world through the eyes of someone else's character.

A lot of plot hole/anti climatic at the end fight with biblioden but still entertaining. Really enjoyed reading from Bastille’s pov. Honestly just glad grandpa smedry was well and alive and the talents were back. Wish he had bigger part to play at the end though. He just went MIA which was suspicious and I expected that we would get a good reason for his absence during the fight. Guess it felt like a hasty wrap up at the end. (Also attica could’ve stayed dead lol)

Fantastic fun read. Super fast like all the Alcatraz books. I really loved it. More review was written and deleted… will have to do more when the book actually comes out later this year. Go go gamma read!
I won a copy of this book as part of a goodreads giveaway.
If you liked the first five Alcatraz books, this one won’t disappoint. It had all the sass, adventure, and fun from the other books with a new narrator—Bastille
Things I learned:
It turns out, police are the squad of librarians tasked with detecting and removing lice.
A sitting duck is a dodge performed while sitting
The Loch Ness monster is a Gak!
Overall, super cute and a lot of fun.

This is probably my favorite book of the series. The entire book felt like the final act (which the fifth book should have been) and was Sanderlanche-esque. It was action-packed and had a satisfying final battle, although I do wish the big bad was defeated in a different way. It had the Sanderson flare, but I did think the addition of a coauthor helped tone down the quirkiness of the book (with those commentaries) that never really landed with me where I felt Brandon Sanderson went overboard and leaned too much into it.

This was a fantastic wrap up to the series, it tied up pretty much all the loose ends, and provided a good balance between a happily ever after and still having consequences for actions. Also it was interesting to read from Bastille’s perspective, and it was pretty entertaining too.
