“Good thing you took the lead on that one,” he said. “It could’ve gone badly and degenerated into a huge brawl.”
“Screw you.”
“Oh, I hope you do, baby.”
While parts of this felt kind of repetitive after reading Gunmetal Magic, it had moments that I really appreciated. Kate and Curran going on a date, the snarky comments they both make, the way they team up against Ghastek, the kickass outfit Kate wears for her Guild meeting, and the show she puts on there were all definite highlights, and I really enjoyed this overall.
