why is every single male main character actually insufferable? like it’s a genuine question at this point… he doesn’t take no for an answer at all throughout this book and when they break up he has the audacity to somehow turn every man in the college away from hannah and pestered until he got his way? this is exactly how i felt about twisted love. my blood pressure is rising bc this book is making me so heated

Garrett is absolutely one of my favorite book boyfriends ever! I loved how smart he is and that he got his head on straight. This is one of the stories I love reading all over again and I still get entertained every time.

I would give this book a 3.8/5 stars
This book was lots better than I expected, and there were some really good moments in this book. I liked the hockey aspect and how there was lots of side-characters. One thing I didn’t understand was how people are obsessed with Garrett. Like yeah he’s supposed to be an athlete who looks like a god and is a “bad boy”. But his personality felt a bit plain tbh. Maybe it’s just me but he wasn’t it for me. I did think that that rule he made about Hannah being off-limits was one of the best parts of the book though. Overall it was a pretty good book, I think the reason my rating was so low was because I personally don’t read fiction very often, so I’m not really into the genre. (im a fantasy reader mostly)

Easy to follow if you’re a novice reader. A simple story but so many fun and exciting parts! I quickly reached for the next books since they’re all in the same universe. Cute, romantic, spicy!

i made the mistake of reading the briar u series first and lowkey swore off elle kennedy's books after having to endure all the bad, stereotypical poc "representation" in there. thinking about rupi especially, as an indian myself, just fills me with so so much annoyance even now, and that's the sole reason i couldn't bring myself to completely enjoy this book like i would have normally, or rate it 4 stars.
i liked the plot, i liked how the heavier topics in this books were dealt with. i LOVE garrett graham. but then again, who doesnt atp. nothing in here was outstanding, lots of cliches but they weren't cringy so there's that. and tbh this book has been so hyped up for so long and its been sitting on my shelf since forever so im just glad im done with it now.

Will I ever read a hockey romance where the MMC has a good relationship with his dad?
