lmao forgot to review this one. just as good as the others but for me personally it was a lil milk toast. compared to the pace and urgency of the previous two books and the last two books, it’s slower and not as memorable to get through. still enjoyed it tho!

Like [b:The Seeing Stone|519048|The Seeing Stone (The Spiderwick Chronicles, #2)|Holly Black|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266575344s/519048.jpg|2210660], I wasn't as charmed this go around as I was with the original, [b:The Field Guide|444304|The Field Guide (The Spiderwick Chronicles, #1)|Holly Black|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266556326s/444304.jpg|1092293]. Book Three does, however, have the added bonus of offering new details (like some of the Spiderwicks' personal history and involvement with the faerie) and the obvious setup of the kids deciding they're actively going to take a stand against these creatures that keep attacking them. I can't wait to see this play out, yet I'm mostly looking forward to seeing Jared realize his own potential and gain some self-confidence.
