Nothing deep, palate cleanser. Love the changes of scenery and going to visit Lucinda. Enjoyed the new characters of the elves and phooka. Also not the intro of the big baddy, Mulgarath, lmao. Overall, quite good for kids

It’s interesting but nothing really happens, it’s not much of a stand-alone book by itself. What was Lucinda’s secret? That, wow, she’s not actually insane? That the faerie world is dangerous? We already figured that. Seemed kinda pointless.

Also it really highlights that the kids truly have no reason to hang onto the Guide.

A little better than the first two installments, if only because this book was largely not in the movie. It felt new and a bit more exciting because of it. Otherwise, much the same as my earlier reviews.

Another switch of location keeps the story fresh, with more creatures introduced. I am eager to see where the overall story leads.
