I also wanna say that I appreciate that the authors don't shy away from Jared's anger. I think that's a really great way of showing character development for him, as he starts learning how to apologize and change his behavior.

The story is really moving on nicely, nicer than the movie.

This filled in a little background information about the childrens' aunt Lucinda and her father who made the Field Guide. While it progressed the narrative, nothing was really resolved in this one and the ending left a little still in the air. Definitely not a stand-alone book.
Not really sure if this is children's or middle grade, which makes a real review difficult, especially since not enough happens in one book and I don't always understand why certain sentences were selected for illustration over others.
Found this at a thrift store for 50 cents. I didn't LOVE it, though it has earned the spot as my favorite in the series so far.
Series continues to be a page turner chockablock with wonderful art. Our son Holden loves it!
loved getting to meet lots of different creatures in this one! some fun stuff is gonna happen soon!
