I could not put this book down. The writing is tight, well done and engaging. The writing reminded me a bit of TJ Klune’s Wolfsong. The relationship and character development are front and center. I did want a bit more plot but think that may come in the second book.

It is from a single POV and may not be for those that do not like that.

Book Review!!

This book turned out to be so good! I loved the fact that the MMCs had been best friends since childhood and would support each other in anything! It was epic to watch as they also had some of their sexual experiences together and felt an awakening together. The shifter aspect was the Cherry on top. Not all omegas are shifters but I enjoyed that this one was!

I have a lot more negative points than positive but in the end i still enjoyed it more than expected.

The first thing was that i wasn’t googley-eyes for the writing style. Even from the very first chapter, there was a lot of excess internal monologue and info dump about the world and background information about the characters between dialogue.  i simply did not care for it.

I skimmed a little but pushed on and for a few chapters nothing really much happened? untill A female character, Storm was introduced and they then caught over her a little before deciding to have 3somes. I wasn’t a huge fan of the whole thing. And i think for it to have worked better for me then i needed both POVs.

Then there was the whole special white wolf alpha thing. Completely unnecessary in my opinion. Like it hardly brought anything to the table. Although it wasn’t a huge plot point until the end, it was really a waste.

i mean they have Sully revealed to be this special alpha that they were building up to, but then in the end he still doesn’t keep Jules completely safe and even ends up getting gravely injured. I mean obviously he killed Dalton the dick and his lackeys but i feel like if they were gonna make Sully so special and “strong”  then they could have at least fell through with it properly.

I feel like the whole fight would have been more satisfying if he were just a regular alpha. But again, this was just my opinion.

Where Jules and Sully’s relationship was concerned, it definitely felt genuine on Sullys part but again, but before the 3rd act conflict played out and Jules’ life was in danger, i wasn’t feeling it as much.

The writing didn’t deliver the depth it didn’t in order to portray Jules’ feeling.

There were definitely some cute moments and some spicy ones and  Some other memorable plot points too  which made the book enjoyable, but over all this book was just okay for me

This was a quick read, it’s wasn’t a bad book just wasn’t that interesting. This is book 1 of 2, which is good as the plot is interesting enough there was just not enough focus of it. The first 35% of the book wasn’t really necessary, the build up of the characters thought out high school and college. I feel like the author could have shown their bond in a different way, as this added nothing to the plot. The smut was good, I’ll give the author that but again I feel like it could have been developed a bit more before the “I love you.” Not going to lie, probs won’t read book 2.

This was such a beautiful surprise!
I saw it was an "omegaverse" and I thought it would be dirty fun (which lets be honest, im not above reading too, thats why i opened this in the first place), instead i found raw beauty and such an honest narration.
The atmosphere and the voice are very much reminiscent of T. J. Klunes Wolfsong series in the best possible way. The story also spans years which give as a real chance to see the boys connection instead of just being told about it.
We get a little bit of lore, and a little bit of pack politics just enough to keep us interested and intrigued to read the next one.
Cant wait for the sequel, I'm squeezing my fingers hoping it would live up to my, now, super high expectations.
(for those interested, it doesn't end on the cliffhanger, it just makes a nice setup to give us a hint where the next book will go)
