I think maybe I wasn't in the right mindset to read these poems. They read as very experimental, very lyrical, but with not much sense to them. They were quite an enjoyable read, but I don't think I was really prepared to devote the time to them that they deserved, and my enjoyment of them suffered because of it. I greatly enjoyed the poems about Andrea's mother. Another poem that sticks out is Late Roses, 1959.

I wish I had read this during my poetry class, or at least paid closer attention while the class was discussing it. I think I would have gotten a lot more out of it. That being said, the sound was great in these, and they were enjoyable to read even if I didn't really get them.
