I have read a majority of the titles in this series, and I have to say, I like this one the second best! Heart of Evil, the first in the series, remains my favorite. However, I really liked this one!

This book takes place in Arizona, in a town similar to Tombstone, an old west ghost town. This is not a setting where I usually read - I enjoyed the change up! But who couldn't love a book with cowboys, gold, a history of wild west shootouts, and outlaws?

The Night is Watching is a fun, entertaining book, with some crazy plot twists! I had no idea who the culprits were. I was just as shocked at finding out whodunit as I was when I was a little girl watching Scooby Doo, and they pulled the mask off the bad guy.

This is definitely a book to pick up if you are looking for a quick read and a mystery with an ending you didn't see coming; a book to read on a sunny day with storm clouds gathering in the distance.

If you have read any books in this series, then this is nothing new. If you like the series then you will like this book. This time we are out at Lily, Arizona, famous for its ghosts and its theaters. Bones and dead bodies are piling up and it will take the Krewe to solve the murders.

This title was a little slow. Enjoyable, but a little hard to get through.

Oh, how I have missed reading Heather Graham's ghost stories! Well, they're actually mysteries, but they have paranormal elements. Which, I absolutely adore because I end up falling in love with ghosts.

I think these Krewe of Hunters books are my favorite! I like the idea of this FBI paranormal investigative unit. And she is so great at making me love her characters. I loved Sloan and Jane, and their relationship. How it developed from a wrong start and skepticism to passion and love. Sloan was a rugged sheriff working in Lily, Arizona; he was stoic, strong, and determined to find out what was going on in his hometown. He was protective and oh, so handsome. And Jane was a great match for him. She was kind, honest, and unwavering in her dedication to help. I love that she's a forensic artist; it's such a cool job.

In most of the other books, at least most of the team members are helping too. But in The Night is Watching, only Kelsey and Logan showed (not until way past the halfway point). I was kind of missing those other characters, but we had a ton of Lily's residents with cameos in the story. You just had to figure out whodunit. And of course, you can't forget the ghosts. I kind of fell for Trey Hardy. His story was one of my favorite parts of the book. <3

The mystery was shocking! As in, I never knew who the killer was. I had my guesses, but they were mostly wrong. And I loved that! Damn good actors, the lot of them.

I really love this Krewe of Hunters series, and I can't wait for more of these FBI "ghost-busters" and their stories. The Night is Watching was another great book in this series, with lovable characters (dead and alive) and shocking twists. :)
