Despite being a smaller story than its predecessor, it is an atmospheric folk tale with loveable characters, an excellent exploration of PTSD, and lot of great world-building.

I liked the characters and setting as always, but I think the main conflict chapter went over my head a little. I wish it was explored more like the first book

While this one doesn’t quite hit as well as the first, it’s so great to return back to this cast of characters and Easton is as hilarious as ever. If there are any more, this will be an auto buy for me
