Went through so many things reading this also this really widened my perspective of Russian culture/people, even if it’s probably not entirely realistic the struggles written about their lives gives an empathetic point of view not a lot of American authors write about when including Russian characters.

Great read! The storyline was actually pretty wild and unbelievable but it was entertaining and I enjoyed it. It was non stop action and gun fights right the way through the book so it kept my attention and interest. Haven’t read a JP book for years so this was a nice surprise. I’m a bit conflicted as to how many stars to give it because I did really enjoy it and particularly toward the end section of the book I found it hard to put down. My gut says 3.5 stars but I feel like to be fair I should give it 4 and not 3 because I did find it a very good read. Oh I wish I could give half stars! I do recommend this book if you love a read with plenty of action, would definitely read more by this author.

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!! Jack Morgan’s friend, Karl Parker invited him to celebrate with him as he rang the bell at the NY Stock Exchange because his business is being listed there.  Jack felt like something was going on with Karl because he didn’t seem like his normal self. Karl said that he wanted him at the event but didn’t go into detail.  While he went up to the podium to ring the bell, someone shot and killed Karl.

Karl’s wife, Victoria asked for Jack and his firm Private to find out why he was killed and who killed him. While Jack is uncovering information his search takes him to Russia and he finds out that there was a side to Karl that he’s never known.

If you like Mission Impossible, then you will definitely enjoy this book.  Highly recommend it.

Road-trip audiobook. Jack Morgan former military pilot now owner of a private security is called to New York to meet a former CO and friend Karl Parker. The friend is murdered in the NYSE as his company is going public
Jack investigates. A package for Jack is delivered to Karl’s home. The cryptic message has Jack searching for clues that Karl has left. This leads him to Russia and the discovery of a secret training school for spies. Orphaned children are kidnapped and trained in Russia to infiltrate areas in the US.
I really did not like the narration. The male reader starts out with a Boston accent that mysteriously goes away. The female has a Russian accent that is ok but not always clear. I also did not always understand the switch off of the two narrators. At first it seemed one was for Russian locale only and the head of the security firm there but then it seemed as if she as reading outside of that locale. Oh well. Doesn’t matter. Not that great too far fetched in too many places
