When describing or reviewing this book I mostly think “nice”. Five Survive was a very nice book. The suspense was great, the character conflicts were nice, the twists were good, the build-up was cool, the representation of grief and adhd-like experiences of red was good. It wasn’t perfect - sometimes the repetition (although clearly purposeful) was  too much for me, some of the character relations could’ve been more fleshed out, sometimes the pacing was a bit inconsistent - but it was a good, enjoyable, nice thriller.

The scream I let out at the end!! The book starts off a little slow then it takes off. FMC was a tad annoying at times but I understood why. I’m glad that things happened to certain people. 🥴 You know who at the end is *chef’s kiss* Don’t judge me lmao. A true act of love ! 💀

I really enjoyed this book! It was twisty and dark. It also kept you guessing. I saw a few things coming, like one of the twists but not the others.
I knew what Oliver's secret was because of Oliver. He was just evil, soulless, and totally unlikable.       The rest of the characters were fairly likable. Though Simon was iffy on the likable scale.

I'm so relieved that Oliver was the one to die! He's the one who I hoped would be the only one not to survive because he was an evil jackass, and clearly a sociopath like his mother.

I cried at the end but still liked the ending. It was a very emotional book with lots of grief and guilt.
