absolutely one of my all time favorite books!!!!

serial killer likes to collect eyes, sees woman with pretty eyes and becomes obsessed with her. woman’s mother happens to be an fbi agent trying to track down said serial killer. oh and serial killer is actually twin serial killers that kill as one person.

Overall it was a pretty fun read, the first half is mostly stalking and gory/graphic murder wich was very good and nice to read. Cain is a serial killer sweetheart and i enjoyed reading his story. Kirby on the other hand… She was smart but missing a lot of personality, this happens often with a lot of book with romance, unfortunately.

The last part of the book, where the relationship « begins » was so surprising in a bad way for me… like Cain just pop out and decides he is suddenly very sweet and loving but it felt cheesy and inconsistant to me…

I love the mix horror/romance but it needs to be realistic with the mental issues of the characters. That being said i enjoyed this book it just have some little annoying details.

Cain Buchanan is an unhinged serial unaliver with a twisted twin brother named Abel. They may look alike and unalive together, but their personalities couldn't be any more different. Cain is a psychopath who is more controlled and keeps his brother in line. Abel is a sociopath who has more of a carefree & let loose personality. This is the first book in the duet and it was absolutely addicting! I could not put it down! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!

When Cain sets his eyes on Kirby, he becomes obsessed with taking her and collecting her unique amethyst eyes to add to his collection. Kirby is a student studying to be an FBI agent at Quantico. Her teacher at Quantico is her mother and the special agent that is trying to track down Cain & Abel.

It's a thrilling story and held my attention to the end and left me wanting more. This was my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more of her work.

If you like dark romance, captive, stalker, serial unalivers, fantastic smut, violence and more, then you'll want to read this! Check trigger warnings!

Thank you to Obsidian Author Services and Brooklyn Cross for sending me an ARC to review. Release Date 10-30-22!

This book tested my limits. It definitely felt more like horror erotica than dark romance, but once I had that in my mind, I enjoyed it way more.
The romance between the mcs makes sense…kind of. Her shift in perspective felt quick, but I still rooted for them!
Please, oh please, read the tw. This is not for the faint of heart

This book was just something else. I recently found this arthur, so I haven't read to many of her book's yet, but when I read the blurb for this book I was all in. Best decision ever.

This book had me on the edge of my seat throughout most of it not knowing what was going to happen next, but needing to know and wanting all the gory details as well.

Cain is always in control, it’s when he’s not that you should be concerned. He sees Kirby and the color of her violet eyes is what pulls him in at first, but when he takes her he decides he wants to keep her. She makes him feel thing's and he shows her what it's like to live, but their path is not smooth as there's many obstacles along the way...one of them being Cain's twin...Abel.

Yeh, he's none to happy with their forming relationship.
