I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the other 2. I think that is mostly because I hated the fact that they kept saying he was ugly and not worth anything and what not. And then even Laurel agreed and went to play with him anyway. And then got upset that he wouldn’t take the bate, until he finally ended up taking it. Just I dunno, I liked the story still. Just wasn’t my favourite. I enjoyed the other ones more.
I also didn’t like that she was set out to be this overly beautiful person and there was NO WAY she would go for him.

I loved this book the most and I have no words to describe how perfect it was.

The writing in this was meh. Conversational, but perhaps TOO conversational. However, I could NOT put this down. It’s like one of those movies you know won’t win an award, but you can’t stop watching until you find out what happens. For me, major misses were constantly referring to the MMC as ugly, and the focus on wrestling (just isn’t the sport for me). Good for a quick, light and smutty read.

Tropes: sports romance, strangers to friends to lovers, nice guy MMC

It was refreshing reversal of trope and that girl was "douchebag". I liked Laurel she had character development something that Oz never did, Rhett was dense but sweet. Also I hate Rex and Eric they are the worst. I thought two them were a cute couple, it wasn't amazing as Zeke book, but still good.

Sara has done it again! This is one of my favorite series. The characters are just so put together. Rhett, shy, banging body, but knows hes not good looking. Laurel who has beautiful red hair and she pretty gorgeous. Rhett's teammates decide to post a flyer around town with his picture and number on it...basically trying to get him laid. He gets message after message but clicks with who he thinks is Alex. Laurel pretends to be her cousin, Alex, and texts Rhett. Rhett finds out the truth and thinks Laurel is just like everyone else...until they start hanging out with each other!

Sara is an amazing author. Her style is hilarious. This book will make you laugh, maybe cry, get upset, but realize, overall, this stuff happens all the time to people.

Spoiler alert- douchebags abound in this story but thankfully not with our hero. 4 stars for "Rett" alone. It was a funny premise with a twist for the good guy winning for a change.

Not sure if it was because I am older or have just not read college stories for a while but these side characters felt really mean/immature/shallow. Maybe that is what college is like these days? Or its just over the top due to the name of the series?

Anyway, Laurel gets dared by her cousin Alex to text the "ugly" guy looking to get laid and a surprising relationship builds out of it.
His Teammates are all assholes, his roommates even worse. Hated them all.

I did like to hear Rhett better than Laurel when they switched POV's and even thought Laurel discovered how wrong she had been about Rhett (hate that name btw) she had no idea what he was feeling- like to be worried all the time that the other person was just playing them and not taking them seriously. Thankfully they found a way through it all to an HEA.

Laurel to Alex:
“Wow. You really do like him.”
“Yeah. He’s great.” I lean forward. “He speaks French and it’s so freaking hot.”
“Shut up.”
“Ugh. Every once in a while he says something I can’t understand and I pretend he’s telling me to take my clothes off and strip down naked.”
“That escalated quickly.”

Spicy scenes as the relationship progressed.

After the awesome-ness of book 2, I had high expectations for this one. But 2017 so far has been the year of disappointed hopes for third books...and sadly this one followed that trend.

I don't want to say too much about the plot for this one, as it's meant to be read without knowing who the main characters are. I will say that the author switches things up. I admire her attempt to change things up in the NA romance genre...but I just couldn't get in to it. I didn't feel like the main characters had much chemistry, and that made the story fall a bit flat. The main male lead I absolutely ADORED, but the female lead I felt was lacking. She really got on my nerves, honestly. I wish there had been more character development like in the second book, but I didn't feel like this was the case here. It took me a while to really get into the book, and at times I struggled to keep reading. Overall, the story was entertaining, but like I said...I had higher hopes.

Sara Ney has become an auto-buy author for me =) I've really enjoyed this trilogy. I'm excited to see what she comes out with next!

What's not to love about this series!?!
Jocks a plenty.
Strong minded heroines.
Special kind of love.

Each story is it's own unique little golden nugget but they are a part of a collection. I love the visits from team mates and the odd ball conversations.

It's so much fun.

I think this one plot wise is my favorite. I loved seeing the growth of the characters. I especially appreciated not wanting to snack the heroine as it progressed. 😉

Guys aren't always the douchebag!
