Sickeningly addictive.
The world building, the narrative, the love interests and the love triangle, UGH!!
Anyone saying this is a rip off of ACOTAR needs to sit down and take a moment to appreciate such an amazing, original story

ACOTAR meets The Cruel Prince, only better. The storytelling was honestly genius and the cliffhanger is stunning, I need the second book immediately.

There were a couple of times where I was confused by things that seemingly made no sense, or felt too rushed, but other than that this story is so well done. I was hooked immediately with the Cinderella style beginning. But then it just became something else entirely. I was honestly stunned at some of the twists that happened.

There's so much to unpack in this!

First of all, I the fantasy and plot are easy to understand and get into, though I found some information was a little too glossed over or given at convenient times.

The characters were interesting, and flawed, but a little one-dimensional. Sometimes I wondered why the FMC was allowed to get away with things, and why everyone was willing to uproot their principles for her.

However, it was easy to read, and the plot kept me enthralled.

An interesting story and I'm excited to read the sequel. The author uses male and female instead of man and woman in most instances which, despite understanding the reasoning behind it given the story, still gives me an ick.

Loved this book so much, picked it up randomly at the works and now going to buy the next book in the series. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars was because I feel like the ending was a bit rushed all at once.

this book should be called “how to betray your reader 101”

oh my god??? i literally can’t form words right now. the way i audibly gasped and slammed this book shut because the author just throws plot twists around like oprah and cars.

i need to read the next one immediately thank you very much.

also stop making me fall for two men and then tossing both of them back and forth into good and evil. my heart can’t take this.
