- This is fun and cute! I'm really enjoying these books.

- I love the twist on Cinderella. The crownies were really clever.

- For some reason, I was expecting these two kids to meet up with classic fairy tale, but Cinderella's story is quite different.

- I always like it when one of the step sisters is nice.

- I can't wait to read this to my daughter. She'll love it.

- I love the little message of this book. Kindness and self reliance are always good things to talk about.

- I really like how these stories are told from the girl's perspective. I love her thoughts/voice. It is quirky and fun.

Now it's into the Cinderella story for Abby and Jonah! But things get messed up when Cinderella accidentally drops her glass slipper on her foot which makes it swell up. Fun read!

a very fun story. For any girl who's ever dreamed of being able to join the world of Fairy tales - this is the book for you!

I loved the adventure in the story but also the struggle between the siblings as they stumbled their way on Cinderella's adventure!

This second book in the series really continued to wow me. I was instantly hooked and I really like the continuity that's showing up in the series. The humor is still a big part of it and we see the fairy tale fracture even more here. I think it's also very important to note that the series is more obviously taking on a feminist stance with this installment, where Cinderella has to save herself and make her own decisions. I will definitely be reading this whole series.

For: fans of fantasy and fairy tales; readers looking for books with witty/intelligent humor; readers wanting a strong feminist series.

Possible red flags: bullying; neglect and mentions of a slave-like existence; lying and bending the truth.

You caught me. This is my guilty pleasure series for the summer totally adorable and a fun twist on the usual fairytale twist. The brother and sister team wind up in a new land and a new story Cinderella just wants to be swept away by the prince so she doesn't have to work. But when her foot gets hit with a glass slipper and swells three sizes too big for her shoes the duo will have to convince the fairy god mother that Cinderella can stand on her own two feet and be a good leader for the kingdom. Cute fun and I really want to read the third one now.

For girls and even boys as one of the main characters is the brother even if his voice isn't the one narrating third grade on up.

This is a cute juvenile alternative version of Cinderella.

It was a fun light read and I liked the twist on the classic Cinderella story. I found the book a little boring, but it also wasn’t meant for my age group. For that reason, I’m not rating it.
