While I was super curious about the conclusion for this one, at the end of the day, not much actually happened in this book and the girls were pretty dumb. They kept being suspicious of people for no reason and then NOT being suspicious of people who were being SUS.

It was pretty frustrating.

The audiobook was pretty good, but I couldn't remember which girl was which, even with the different narrators. Their voices were all pretty similar, in terms of writing style.

So, was it worth it? Ehhh, the ending was a bit convoluted and honestly, I was like "that's it? How meh." hahaha.

Zoe, Calista, Denise and Holly used to be best friends. Every summer their parents would send them off to sleep away camp, something that they all looked forward to because they always had a great time. Up until one summer when a tragic incident happens that results in the permanent closure of the camp.

A few years later they receive the shocking news that their old camp counselor Violet has died. And although it's been years since they've seen each other or even communicated, they all decide that they owe it to Violet to go to her funeral. Once they reunite they realize just how much they've all changed but there's one thing that they can all agree upon.... Violet's accidental death just doesn't make sense. The more they hear from family and friends the more they believe that something more sinister has happened here, causing them to extend their stay as they dig deeper into what may have really happened to Violet.

- Mystery / Suspense
- Multiple POV
- YA

Overall I thought this read was okay. I enjoyed the overall storyline and pace of the book. I just had a difficult time connecting with the characters, but this could be because I don't fall into the general target audience. I do think it would be a fast, thrilling read for YA.

I want to thank Blackstone Publishing for providing me with the ARC. The Girls from Hush Cabin will be hitting stores on Aug 15th!

It’s giving PLL but only one book and there’s a camp. And significantly less thrill. Enjoyable, and while I appreciated the multiple POVs and flashback, I got v confused about whose chapter I was reading all the time. Plus I felt like the reveal didn’t get enough hype to really thrill me????

In all honesty, the only reason I read the whole book was because by the time I wanted to stop, I’d already read a lot of it. Not very impressed with this story.
