What an entertaining romp through an Edwardian setting! Lesley Cookman "cooks" up a delightful combination of murder, mystery and the vagaries of running a music hall/theatre in this second in the series. Once again a titled lady with a less than stellar background applies to Dorinda Alexander for help, and she delivers, with a little help from her "copper" friend -- and possible applicant for her affections. The author does a credible job of balancing detecting the mystery and following the path of romance. Characters are well defined, and the pace moves along with nary a slow spot. I'm looking forward to reading more. Highly recommended.
