Non-stop action to finish out the series. Just how much more could these characters go through? Answer: so much more and then some. Such a good wrap-up to the series!

This was an almost perfect ending to such a great series. One of the things I loved most about this series was the character growth. I truly felt like we saw the main cast of characters go from kids to young warriors, respected and leading each of their races. Also! While the social commentary was lighter than some other books I’ve read, I still appreciated the criticisms of racism, greed, and oligarchy that were present. The ending had its sad moments, definitely some deaths that had me tearing up. But overall there was a happy ending. I wish we had gotten a bit longer of an epilogue to really get to soak in the first moment of peace since the very beginning 😂

Here we are in the final piece of Fletcher's story and I'm a bit surprised it ended so soon. As I've often said though I did become a fan rather late, but to read this trilogy all in one year has been exciting. I cannot wait to get my hands on [b:The Outcast|34702209|The Outcast (Summoner, #4)|Taran Matharu|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1518271618s/34702209.jpg|55881114] to dive back into the world of summoning even if it is not with dear Fletcher. I could write so much about my adoration for this series, but at this point I feel like I would give more away then express how everyone should become apart of this fandom.

As any sequel that picks up moments after a previous entry leaves off this book feels like two smaller books smashed together. That's not to say it's bad for it, the first half is nicely paced with good development on all fronts and was very enjoyable. However the second half, which naturally had the final battle felt awkward. The world (well town) building segment was a nice inclusion as opposed to the fighting that went on with the rest of the series but then the final battle felt rushed after so much relaxed pacing. Overall the final part of this trilogy finished the story well and was worth sticking to after the lackluster book 1.

being honest, i didn't like it... the way it was written was terrible for me, each word was torture. If you like it that's okay, i just don't.
