I am a simp for Sierra Simone’s writing. I saw someone describe this book as horny and I couldn't agree more with that. This group of friends become drawn to a place from their childhood which leads them down a path of ritualistic practices. Cliffhanger ending.

Wow wow wow. Loved everything abt this book. The drama, the romance, the freaky stuff. Ends on a fucking cliffhanger tho but whatever. Obsessed w this book

Bizarre. This had a fairly solid start, but gradually lost its appeal as I continued. I was promised gothic/dark academia, but it was more of a gothic erotica with a mystery that doesn’t quite unfold. The writing itself was a standout aspect, but the characters failed to captivate, the pacing was off, and the plot heavily leaned “religious cult ritual”. Overall, there wasn’t enough substance in this book to justify the read. It wasn’t for me, but I can see why someone else would enjoy it.
