Finally over, that was so long.

The war parts were pretty interesting.

This was a very well-written book! Around the end of the book was the best. Very intense, too. Great book!

not really a fan of the series or the writing, but endings are always satisfying.

literally one of the best ends to a series, i was sobbing near the end and i cannot stop thinking about it. HIGHLY recommend reading the infernal devices series prior for the ultimate kick

There will never be enough words for how much I loved this series and how much I cried at the end. Ave Atque Vale.

There are two things that i cannot deny: 1) Cassandra Clare is a genius. 2) i'm so glad i'm finally done with this series.

“Have you ever felt that your heart contained so much that it must surely break apart?”

Well, this is exactly what this book made me feel. It also gave me a headache. But it also showed me what a great author Clare is. So much happened, new characters were introduced, and Jem–my precious Jem made a series of prominent appearances!

“Weapons, when they break and are mended, can be stronger at the mended parts.”

This, this is exactly what Clare did to the characters. The things each character went through, the rollercoasters they road, the shapes they have taken–it's all mind blowing. To see character development until the very last page of the book, that is definitely something. From Magnus and him opening up about his past, to Alec and his self-consciousness and him finally speaking up for himself. To Simon, and the many roles he has played. Then comes the transformation of Brother Zachariah, and lastly, Tessa's appearance. This book exhausted my brain, for it introduced so many new characters, characters that are too interesting and promising to not focus on. But it also amazed me, for it connected and whirled events and characters and history.

The one thing that made me wince because it was far too hard to ignore, is how i can't help but feel that Emma and Julius are going to be Clary and Jace 2.0, considering how i never really liked the two of them. But with all those newly introduced characters–Mark, Helene and Alina, Julius and Emma separated, i hope that the other books won't be a cliché telling of Emma and Julius' relationship.
