Cassandra Clare when I catch you…..I’m sobbing over Simon’s memories and vampirism being gone all for him to be made a shadowhunter???? And his memories start to come back and he can be with Izzy again omg
I cried 5 times reading this book and the more I think about the beauty of it the more I want to cry.
Jordan Kyle’s death had me crying in bed and Maia’s reaction after the fact to everything. The cleverness of Clare and Jace deceiving Sebastian and using his need to be loved against him. The malec pining, angst, and ending was absolutely perfect.
I love revisiting this world and will sing its praises forever. It’s the same magic as I felt when i was 14. One of my favorite series to ever exist.

I finished, finally. And now I'm heartbroken.

So, how to put this. I have a love/hate relationship with this series and whilst reading this book I just couldn't wait for it to be over. I only started to like it at the end. Especially the Epilogue was really nice and made me actually miss the characters when it's over.
But regardless, two thing:
1. I'm 90% sure I won't be reading any Cassandra Clare book ever again
2. I hate Clary so much, she's so annoying. She is one of the reasons I fully didn't enjoy the books. I can't help it, but she gets on my nerves

This, the last in the City of Bones series, is one of the best. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not just saying this because it is the grand finale.
We finally have the epic showdown of Sebastian and Clary. Accompanied by Isabelle, Simon, Alec, Jace per usual. Shadowhunters have been recalled back to Alicante after a series of attacks on various institutes throughout the world. Sebastian is building an army of Endarkened shadowhunters and is strengthening his power. Clary and crew know that they are the only ones who can take him down. Clary knows his weakness is her, but Jace now holds a powerful force within his blood. This is the war that redefines good vs. evil, alliances and enemies, lovers and friends.
I really loved this book especially after the weak performance of City of Lost Souls. The last installment seemed repetitive in the romance areas and too hooked on anxiety. Whereas in this book the relationships seem to have grown past all of the insecurities and trivial crap so prevalent in previous books.
I was so grateful that Clare was able to take the time to showcase all of the different characters readers have grown to love/hate. This book did not focus specifically on any one person or relationship. I am going to miss them all--well not Sebastian--greatly. Honestly I sat for the last 75 pages and tried to hold back the tears. They were tears of joy, sadness, hurt, loss, and hope. I really love when a book can bring out all of these emotions. The series has taken a long time to complete but I will say this book was a fantastic wrap up to the long wait. Unfortunately, there was an advert for a new series called The Dark Artifices scheduled out Fall of 2015....AAAHHHH another long wait!

This is the last book of the Mortal Instruments series. To say the truth, I was expecting more, but I still did get a lot from it. Clare was making a lot of spin offs during the book to link it to the next series, which will be out in 2016, if I am not mistaken. My most expectations crashed when Sebestian died. Not by him dying, I mean I knew he was going to die, but his last words. I would have thrown the book over the room if I was reading the paperback, however I was reading on my tablet and I love it too much to throw around. I am sorry, but I need to say this, hence the spoilers, when he apologizes for all he did before his death, it is just too not Sebastian style. I would have preferred him staying the cold-blooded psychotic bastard he was throughout the series that to miraculously turn into a good boy. I guess Clare wished for him to say sorry and she wanted to show us that he was not all that bad, but still, I did not really like that.

Many secrets have been explained, and many gave me piece of knowledge on everything. Some of our favourite characters from the Infernal devices appeared and saved the day. Also, I guess Clare loves absolute happy endings. The book ended with mostly all of the main characters who came from book 1 to the end with a happy ending. One thing that I adored is the Seelie queen. I guess I have a soft spots for villains. But I loved her only for her wit. And I really mean it. Her wit is absolutely amazing. But so is her playing with words. And hell, she does that masterly. The moment when she swears not to tell Sebastian that Jace, Clary and the company departed to his world and as soon as they leave, she contacts Sebastian telling him, that they came to her place. She explains it that she swore not to tell him about their departure, but not about their arrival. That moment fascinated me, and I think it made me closely listen to my own words and what people tell me, when they ask for favours or stuff.

Nevertheless, the book was a suitable conclusion for the series and it gave enough of mystery and intrigue for the next series to keep me motivated to read them. I do hope that you get your copy now, if you still haven’t. And if you are new to the world of the shadow hunters, well, what are you waiting for? Start reading it right now. A whole world of amazing creatures and especially a lot o adventures are waiting for you. Enjoy this amazing thrilling ride to its fullest. Please, share your thoughts with me, they mean a lot to me.

The most exciting and beautiful saga ending I've read in many years! :')

such a beautiful but heartbreaking and bittersweet in some ways ending. i loved this series so much. i care so much about every single character and their stories. each person means the world to me and i’m so happy to see them all get the ending they deserve. my heart breaks over simon’s lost memories and he and izzy better still have their happily ever after. alec and magnus continue to be my light in the darkness and i hope they have the happiest of lifetimes together. i’m so excited to continue with the shadow hunter world and fall in love with the next characters just as much as i’m sure i will…. but these people are so near and dear to me i feel like i need a small break to just sit with their memory before i start with the next.
