I don't usually write reviews. The books should be able to explain themselves. So when I do, the book is usually utterly boring or so incredible I have to recommend it to someone.
The first time I picked up City of Bones. I thought... eh. it's okay. I read Cassandra Clare's other series, the Infernal Devices and I loved it. This book showed what she can do with words. Her uncanny ability to twist them so that they show us exactly what she wants us to see. This was a fabulous conclusion to this series. Best book out of all of them.

I can not comprehend all these feels right now

What a waste of time. Geez. The worst last 200 pages ever.

We are all the pieces of what we remember. We hold in ourselves the hopes and fears of those who love us. As long as there is love and memory, there is no true loss.

amazing conclusion. This story wrapped up nicely. I really grown to love all the characters. Everyone seemed to redeem themselves. Sebastian/Not Sebastian was not my favorite though.
SpoilerI did not like the way he all of a sudden was "good" at the end. That part just didn't add up for me because he had been this evil for so long, that was all he had know since he was a baby, and yet at the end, it's was as if it's all because of being possessed...all his life?
. CC weaved in a lot of characters likely to push readers towards her other books, but I'm not mad about that, because I will read them.

he size of this book was daunting but I'm so so glad I've finished it. Whilst I was hoping for a bigger final showdown and there were parts that seemed unnecessary to myself, I loved how it ended and seemed quite fitting. I little rushed but I got the sentiment the author was going for. I'm going to miss reading about these characters.

I have strange relationship with this series: the first time I read it, I didn't like it; then was the second time - I needed to read because of the last coming book and because I already forgot what happened; and now I decided to re-read it because of the "The Dark Artifices" series.

And what can I say? Now it's more tolerable because characters started to feel more like old friends.
