This was a super short and spicy novella. There wasn't any character development as it wasn't long to create any. I think I'm missing a big part of the story because it just seemed unfinished and like I was dropped into the middle of something I had no idea about. I'll look into that later on.
That being said, I didn't care for anything happening in the story. If there is no character backstory or development, there's no way to get attached and start caring. The spice was good, as was the ambiance of the novel. Everything else was just meh. I'll still probably pick up the rest of the series, but I'm not in a rush to.

I read this in about an hour, maybe an hour and a half. The amount of spice was perfect for the plot. I didn't find it just 100% spice and no plot, there was a good story line as well.
My only problem now is that I want more. I love the way K. Elle. Morrison writes, it's easy to forget your reading. While this is my first book by K. Elle Morrison, it will definitely not be my last. I'm so excited to read the next 6 in this series.
