This is my first book by Samantha Towle and it won't be the last.
Just from reading the synopsis I knew I had to read this book, I one-clicked and preordered my copy. When it arrived on my kindle I started straight away.

From the first page I was swept up in a whirlwind of emotions. I love how Towle takes us from the present to the past, so we get the full story and don't miss anything or get confused.

Could you imagine finding the love of your life but only to lose them and not know the reason why? Adam felt that for 10yrs, and now after all this time he may finally get the answers he seeks. Can love conquer all or will the heartbreak just be too much after all this time?

If you love second chance stories than I highly recommend this one. With an addictive storyline, characters you'll fall in love with, this book is a must read!!!

AND FOR THAT WONDROUS BRIEF MOMENT IN TIME, SHE WAS MINE, AND I WAS HERS.

I loved this book. I loved Evie and Adam but I adored Max. He didn't have so many scenes, which is a shame, but he was perfect in every one of them.
I wish there'd be a book about him.

I tend to enjoy second chance romances, and this one was relatively enjoyable. Bingeable. I really liked the start, with the ‘past’ scenes feeling very nostalgic.

I did, however, have a handful of issues with this one. First of all, the blatant fatphobia. A plus size man, just existing, and in fact, being helpful, repeatedly being called ‘fatty’. Really? Just say you hate fat people and move on. Or even better, if you hat plus size people so much, DON’T WRITE ABOUT THEM. Simple. Additionally, there was a number of grammatical errors in which we’d switch (in the same sentence) from past to I present, or singular to plural. An editor was very much needed. When it came to the actual plot, I would’ve much preferred the flashback scenes to be less frequent, and maybe only small segments inserted within present chapters. The past scenes quickly dragged and I started to lose interest towards the end. We just needed to see them together in the present more. Not fucking. I did not believe their present romantic connection in the slightest. Zero chemistry.

Honestly....I skipped every other chapter after a while... I liked the second chance aspect and it could have bee. A fantastic story if it wasn't for the constant past flash backs that added nothing to the here and now of the story I was craving. If it wasn't for that I would have enjoyed t a lot more

It was a good story, but I think the style was kind of annoying switching between point of views and the past and present, I think it would have been a more enjoyable read if it was just one or the other.
