Astoņas stundas sirdssāpju. Kad zini foreshadowing, raudāšana notiek priecīgajos mirkļos.

Joprojām pastāvu uz savu, ka šis bija perfekts nobeigums. It was fucking fucked up, but it was so real. Līdz ar to pārsniedza parasto YA, jo bija ar dzīves līmeņa notikumiem. Štrunts, ka tas ir fantasy.

Beidzot ir sajūta, ka tieku šim visam pāri. Citādi no marta dzīvoju tādā half pain stāvoklī, hahaha. All hail Sally Green.

I guess revisiting trauma helps to finally deal with it. Loved the ending choice even more.

2016

Pamēģiniet noniecināt šo.

Sallija salauza pieņemto, salauza YA, salauza mani.

Es vairs nekad nespēšu paskatīties uz to grāmatas vāku bez izmisuma.

2014-2016.

This last book in the series was a downer...and a let down.

First of all, being someone who doesn't often read books with LGBTQ+ primary characters, I had no idea there was such a trope as "Kill Off the Gays". But this book sadly does exactly that. My other thoughts were:
1. Why did Gabriel have to die and Nathan turn himself into a tree? I get the poeticism the authoress was going with (because his lover was in the ground, and Nathan wanted to be as close to him as possible...physically...through tree roots). But honestly, it didn't do it for me.
2. Why does our main character have to experience so much pain his entire life, only to seemingly give up in the end? Is the lesson here supposed to be "if your true love dies, you should die with them because life is meaningless without that person and you will never be able to move on? Stay stuck in the past and let life pass you by?" What kind of BS is that?
3. The action and overall plot seemed very rushed. A lot more could've been done with this interesting story, so consider me disappointed.
4. There are so many characters I wished we'd gotten to know better before they were killed off.

Great read, except sad end was typical for many gay characters

Most of the book gets 4 stars, but the ending gets 5. It broke my heart and did my soul good all at once.

I wanna cry don't touch me
I liked this series but the thing about it is that it doesn't let you go deep in the story the writing is way to simple that really doesn't go though things and characters. but in general I liked it
