Truly a scrumptious piece of literature. The words on the page are written with such purity and honesty that they seem to have a beating heart. Genuinely a crown jewel in the world of literature.

Oh - to be able to experience this book for the very first time, again.

And to think, when I read the first sixty pages I considered dnf-ing. But alas, I am a mood reader, and then was not the time.

I revisited the book today, and I'm glad I did.

Chills, tears, and nostalgia - and the greatest surprise of all - a reconsideration as to whether I truly despise poetry or simply have been reading the wrong books all along.
