This was an interesting read, but in the end it felt like a bit of a big fizzle-out.

To have such a large portion of a book dedicated to rehashing an abusive relationship (TW: Domestic Violence, Abuse, Narcissistic Abuse, Suicide Mention, Murder) and have nothing come of it at all? I was a bit surprised I guess.

The middle part of this book is excellent! The start and the end is what let’s this book down. For me it could have been 100-150 pages shorter. The chapters were long and often repetitive. The strong storytelling of the emotional abuse is what kept me coming back to the book. I never abandon a book once I start reading but I came very close with this one.

Writing from the perspective of a ghost is a cool concept, that's all the praise I can give. This book is long , draw out and boring, every little thing is over-explained. I'm amazed that thus was green-lit to be made into a drama.
