it's been 3 years since I read the first book in this series so I was glad for the references back to that book and the detail to jog my memory. Another good story by Mr. Eskens.

Another book I couldn’t put down. I love the characters and their journey. As a mystery Mr Eskens knows how to draw you in and the many twists keep you so sure you know the ending. Guess what your always wrong. Can’t wait to start my 3rd book of his.

I really love all of Allen Eskens books, particular because their a non-serial collection of stories with repeating and interconnecting characters. He has a gift for crime procedurals and does a great job illustrating imperfect characters doing their best to do the right thing.
This one caught me with twists I didn't see coming until they were already unfolding, which is my favorite reading experience!
