What I expected: a comic book adaptation of my favorite movie.

What I got:

SO MUCH MORE.

YOU GUUUUUUYYYYYYYYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

This is a series of short, sometimes one or two page, stories, in graphic novel form, about the inhabitants of the Labyrinth. From Hoggle to the fireys to The Hat to THE 'ELLO WORM*, it's characters you definitely saw in the movie telling their own stories.

I NEED SO MUCH MORE OF THIS. My heart, it doth explode.

*Whose name is William, who knew?

Perfect revival of the most loved characters from the movie. Great art to accompany the stories.

It was good. Short, with lots of little stories. Some were great, some not so much. A decent blend for the amount of pages. A cute keepsake for fans.

Cute, but not super engaging. Super quick vignette stories. Artwork was the a best part.

Some of the stories were cute, most of the drawings were cute too. But that last page ruined it the illustrator messed up the two most important characters. ☹️

Labyrinth is my all time favorite movie so perhaps I am being overly critical, but I though this comic was terrible. It's like it was written by someone who never saw the movie but instead read the cliff notes.

The tone is so juvenile and devoid of the dark fantasy vibe of the film. Plus, no Goblin King!?
