*Sigh...!* This was a lovely and different concept to a love story. Attention to detail throughout the characters travels was great, many of the places I've either lived in or traveled to, so it was easy to visualise. A lovely holiday read and I've already recommended to friends!
One Hundred Proposals is the perfect beach ride, because it's sweet and fluffy and includes some really exotic locations as part of the 100 proposal plan.
Suzie and Harry are best friends who run a marriage proposal business together, where they try to craft the perfect proposal for clueless grooms and to avoid all the cliched options that already exist. Over the years, Suzie has started to develop feelings for Harry, feelings that she is pretty certain that Harry doesn't return since Harry behaves as he always had: charming with the ladies, friendly and dependable with Suzie. However, when Harry initiates a marketing gimmick for their business, Suzie is stunned by the heartbreak that she is suddenly confronted with; for Harry has planned 100 perfect proposals in an attempt to move Suzie. Many exotic locations are included when a travel company pairs up with their business but with each proposal, more confusion is generated between Harry and Suzie.
Your mileage for this book may vary, because some of the misunderstandings and arguments between Harry and Suzie seem as though these two characters are stuck in high-school and are unable to just sit down and have a conversation to clarify everything with each other. However, some of the proposals are really quite adorable and there is some chemistry between the characters to tide the readers over.
It doesn't change the fact that the characters still felt pretty flat to me, though. Suzie is the typical girl-next-door character who's hopelessly clueless about how people around her actually feel. Harry is the usual ladies' man character who's hiding a sadness from his childhood. I can't even recall the names of the secondary characters. Therefore the book is just a solid three stars from me.

Spoiler
For example, Suzie is oftentimes jealous of the amount of attention that Harry receives from the ladies but is unable to explain her emotions since she doesn't want to let him know that she likes him. And then there's Harry, who stupidly believed that this 100 proposal idea will mean that he gets the girl without having to explain that he actually likes her which just makes no sense to me at all.It doesn't change the fact that the characters still felt pretty flat to me, though. One hundred proposal to make the girl u love into love u back... that sound so sweet!
I really love the way Harry made the Proposal to Suzie. They love each other for such a long time but they afraid to admit each other!
One thing for sure i love about Harry is, He always be there for Suzie, He always cheer up Suzie and comfort her, besides Harry had many girlfriends replaced every weekend.
I feel sorry about them because they waste their time for 2 years... when the words i love you is like a poison to them..

Suzie runs a company with her best friend Harry - helping men creatively propose to their girlfriends. Harry comes up with a great PR move - 100 proposals in 100 days. He doesn't realize Suzie is in love with him and all she wants to do is say "yes."
An interesting tour of the world as Harry comes up with fantastic ways to propose - some grand and sweeping, some smaller.
I enjoyed the read, though it took me a while to get into it. The reader gets thrown right into the middle of the proposals, and it took me a while to warm up to Harry. Towards the end of the book I couldn't put it down, but it took me a while to get there.

i mostly just spent most of this book yelling at how the two main characters should just tell each other about their INCREDIBLY OBVIOUS feelings for one another. it was more of a frustrating read than a romantic one.
What I read: One Hundred Proposals by Holly Martin
Why I picked it up: A friend recommended it, and she and I like similar books!
How I read it: On ebook in just a day (although I did keep pushing it out for weeks because ‘I just wasn’t ready yet’).
What it’s about: Suzie and Harry run the.PerfectProposal.com and as a way to kick start the seasons, Harry decides it would be fun for him to propose to her 100 different ways in 100 days – only thing is that they’re best friends, not romantic partners. Except, they both seem to be in love with the other but too afraid to be vulnerable enough to say anything.
What I liked: I appreciated that this is closed door and also that they don’t sleep together before declaring their feelings for each other.
What I disliked: Harry’s childhood was awful – and I really dislike anyone who would do that to a child.
Genre: Rom Com, closed door, travel, friends to lovers.
Rating & Recommendation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and absolutely! I’ll be reading more by Holly in the future!

*3.75/5*
