A short book, composed of eight short stories that range from Angharad to Coll and Dallben meeting, to Fflewddur gaining his trusty harp. I enjoyed this particular collection.

This is composed of eight short stories set prior to The Chronicles of Prydain, indeed prior even to the birth of Taran. It gives insight into the origins of some beloved side characters and some noteworthy items featured in the series.

A series of short stories set in the Prydain world. Simple and sweet, these are more of a combination of the old fairy tales, and those fables with a simple moral at the end. We get a better sense of some of our favorite back characters from the series, Kaw, Dalben, even Col. each story is simple and sweet, though like the rest of the book series some of them have a little bit of that scary edge. For those who have read the rest of the books and want a little more.

It’s been a few years since I read the series, but I missed catching this one. I enjoyed reacquainting myself with Prydain through these  short tales. They’re a little moralistic, but they’re a great intro to fantasy for kids.
