this is my 4th freida mcfadden book, and at this point i know i’m not the audience she’s writing for. the insane amount of times turtles were mentioned in this book? ridiculous. there are 62 chapters and i swear turtles were brought up in like 65 of them 😭.
the only thing that kept this from being a 1-star was the actual plot twist with dawn’s disappearance — that part gagged me. everything else? i could’ve done without.

one of freida mcfaddens more mid books. i hated all the characters and the ending "twist" annoyed the hell out of me. but good entertainment.
