It is very funny and very well put together. I would also really recommend the audio book, which features many Daily Show cast members, a slew of sound effects, and a soundtrack that made it one of the most thoroughly enjoyable audiobooks I've ever listened to.
I have read this before, but this time I listened to the audio book. So much more fun to listen to! It is read by Jon Stewart and other people from the Daily Show, with Sigourney Weaver reading the chapter titles and sub-titles. Super fun to listen to!!
If you enjoyed America The Book you'll likely enjoy this one too. It is just a good fun read. Something nice to have laying around the house that you can pick up when you're in the mood for a giggle.

Not really a book I read cover-to-cover...probably why I enjoyed it so much. I scanned around and focused on the sections or pages that I thought might be funny at a certain moment. Sometimes I'd sit with this book for twenty minutes just laughing as I turned the pages; other times I'd read two pages, get a great laugh, and move on to a novel I was reading. I can appreciate why Jon Stewart and his staff were putting the show on hold as frequently as they did to complete this book. There's so much information, so many pictures, captions, quotes, graphs, visuals. I'll probably sit down with this book more and discover interesting tidbits I'd never noticed before.
Fairly disjointed. A few good witticisms, but not much else in terms of content. The audio delivery was very well done.
A light, fun read (or listen). I appreciated the addition if sound effects and music into the narrative. This made “Earth” a much more engaging audiobook.
Amikor megtudtam, hogy Jon Stewart otthagyja a Daily Show-t, finoman szólva nem örültem. Persze tök jó Trevor Noah is, és vannak más late night show-k is, pl Stephen Colbert-rel, amire teljesen átszoktam, pláne, hogy időnként Jon Stewart is előbújik az asztala alól (ő maga – Stephen mármint – meg a Daily Show-ban kezdte a showműsoros pályafutását, mert van neki színészi is, mindegy). Na szóval kellett valami pótlék azután is, hogy az Oscar-gálától kezdve mindent végignéztem, ahol hallhattam. Nem csalódtam ebben a könyvben, pont az a fajta szarkasztikus humor, amiért annyira szeretem.
Ez egy kézikönyv a jövő űrlényeinek, akik ellátogatnak hozzánk, és azt látják, kipusztult az emberiség (lehetséges okok szintén a könyvben). Elmagyarázza nekik, kik voltunk, miket csináltunk. Rengeteg képpel, vinnyogva röhögős képaláírásokkal és magyarázatokkal, közben nagyon is pontosan (és sokszor nem túl píszín, de rendkívül önironikusan) rátapintva az emberi faj baromságaira. Legszívesebben az egészet kiírtam volna, még fogok belőle idézni.
