Emily is having a tough time: She's in college, trying to graduate at the ripe old age of 19, taking 5 courses at a time, sleeping on a couch in her mother's study, and just basically trying to survive without having a mental breakdown. Then she meets Mitch, and all bets are off: He's incredibly handsome, has a great sense of humor, and makes her forget about everything else going on around her. However, things aren't always as they seem, and Emily's trip through college turns out to be extremely eventful as she meets ever more interesting people.

There's definitely a reason why this book sucked me in from the start. There's something in it for everyone, at least one thing that every person can identify with: wonderful friendships, rocky relationships, overloaded schedules, crazy roommates, and the list goes on. For me, the best part was jumping back and forth between Emily's and Mitch's POV, as it gave insight to both and how they were coping with not only their feelings/issues with each other, but also everything else going on around them. There's a bunch of characters to keep track of, but their stories all intertwine, just as it seems to always do at college. There's love, loss, happiness, sadness, comedy, tragedy, and a healthy dose of plain ol' New Adult angst and anxiety to tie it all up nicely. We've all been there, and no matter which character you readily identify with, there's at least one that will grab you and hold on tight, pulling you deeper and deeper into the story. I'm for one going to add this author to my must-read list, and I look forward to more from her very soon. =)
