This was an assigned book for a seminar at work. It was fine. I found it more boring than anything.

The cost of this book is disguised as the price one pays to take the Strength Finder quiz. While most of the information pertinent to your "top 5 strengths" is available online, once you have taken the quiz, this books serves as a convenient resource for assessing and applying the talents of other people.

It is a refreshing philosophy that I would love to see explored on a deeper level. It is helpful knowing your strengths and taking the given advice to find greater success in work and life in general.

Good overview of the strengths but doesn't add much more than that. I'll use it as a quick reference.

Fun way to learn about yourself.
I am: activator, connectedness, positivity, restorative and WOO.

Recommended by my new boss to read. The whole idea is that we spend too much time focusing on strengthening out weaknesses and not enough time continuing to grow in our strengths.

The first 30 pages are an introduction that leads you to taking an online evaluation that then tells you what your top 5 strengths are.

It was an awesome book to read, especially when trying to figure out a new career or if you’re unhappy in your current situation because it helps your focus on what you’re really good at, and then how to continue to strengthen those areas.

Read this book for work, was insightful for my strengths, but it wasn't something I wasn't exactly surprised about, felt it gave some good tips for improving areas where we are more "challenged", frankly felt a lot of this was outdated and well, I enjoyed it more for the personality test aspect and the test itself was more interesting and felt it was accurate for my own traits. But anything used for a capitalistic gain, is not exactly my kind of jam. Overall not a bad listen (read this via audiobook).

This was an in depth test that I think actually produced accurate results. It was interesting to see where I fell and to read the descriptions of the categories. I think the test was most likely right. So, it was fun and it was somewhat informative...now what? Overall the book didn't give me that much insight on the different categories and the suggestions in some cases contradicted each other. I think it is useful to use in conjunction with additional career books or counselors. It is important to understand your strengths and this may or may not help. Alone, however, I do not think it is enough to give much to the reader.

Interesting way to understand self at work and at home (I found that I’m an Achiever, Learner, Consistency, Responsibility, Strategic).
