Quick short read but at the very end the aromantic aspect felt random. Beyond that, cute read to take me out of my slump

(4.5 ⭐️!) This book is spicy cottagecore at its best. The story is short, sweet, and steamy - a perfect snack break between longer reads.

I appreciated how Jillian was portrayed as a compassionate witch that wanted to help her community. But that community never returned her kindness and only kept asking for more and more, she hit her wall and needed a break - because SAME. I feel like we all would like to escape to a cabin for peace and quiet.

Not only that, but I loved the relationship that developed between Jillian and Lyle. Although xe was a pleasure demon, xe made sure to take off Jillian. There were sweet times and plenty of SPICY times. And the toy that she made for xym?? WOW.

Overall, I really enjoyed this quick and cozy read. Hopefully I’ll be stumbling over a similar spellbook in the future.

I loved this book so much that I don't even care if my IRL friends see this!
This read was a lovely mix of a cute and intimate domestic friendship, a variety of creative spicy scenes (that I feel like were written *for* femmes, you know what I mean? And again, so creative!) and comforting talks about self-worth, consent, and care.

The characters were so enjoyable that I wish to read about them for hours and hours more. Very much looking forward to the next stories from this author (which luckily for me, seems to be days away from releasing!)

My favourite (sfw and not too sappy) quote:
“Your value isn’t in what you do, and it’s especially not in what you do for others."

First, I adored this book. Second, I loved the characters so much. There was a perfect balance between funny, coziness and spice. I also enjoyed seeing more queer representation which I don't see too often. I'm very excited to read more books by Robin.

I received an advanced reader copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

When I downloaded this book I thought it might be a little cheesy but I actually really enjoyed it. I loved that Jillian is plus size. I need to read the bonus story because I want her and Lyle to fall in love!
