DNF for me. I tried, I liked the premise but it dragged and then became super un realistic I just gave up.

Very trite. Had potential...

The book lacked the details needed to make the reader care about the characters. The plot was interesting and had potential but wasn’t fleshed out enough to be interesting. Conversations were trite and ride with profanity.

I'd give this book a 4.5 rounded up to a 5 star rating. It was unique in its plot; the characters were likeable; and the ending was mostly a happy one! There were many parts that were predictable, which is why I rated it down a bit. I liked the story overall though and am glad I don't have to wait long for the sequel.

One of the best (if not THE best) Kindle First picks I've ever read! Couldn't put this down. Great story, super fast read.

Interesting premise

But the execution felt a bit ham-fisted and drawn out, not much 'twist' to the twists. Not my cup of tea.

Predictable. The main character was OBNOXIOUS.

The author, Kerry Lonsdale, is lovely. She joined our online book club meeting, Stronger Spine (on Facebook), and she answered all our questions through massive technical difficulties without blinking an eye. I will probably try more books of hers because she was so great, even though I did not like this one.
