The main character is very much not a girl's girl. The unneccessary comments she makes about mainly women and the food they're eating just irks me. Maybe she'll go through character development but I don't care to stick around.

This is five stars purely because of my own personal investment, but I devoured this book as if it were a loaf of pain au chocolate. My compliments to the chef.

I read this book a while ago and when it was pointed out that the sequal should be read (in one of the 3 groups I recently joined), I decided to re-visit it. This particular book chronicles the main character's move from helpless housewife to self-sufficient baker. I feel badly about her divorce and how she was treated by someone who supposedly loved her but I also thought the pacing of the book made it seem too drawn out.

A nice read. I enjoyed Wynter establishing her own life more than the romance and wish that the relationship between Wyn and Mac was more developed, but I look forward to more in the series.

I love this book! The bread recipes are a total plus, but the setting and the story are wonderful, too.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, its got characters that were real and a great story, although it was predictable.

Cute, if predictable. Drags a bit in the middle, especially with all the flashbacks.
