Trigger Warnings: Major PTSD/Psychosis/Trauma, Suicide attempts, Miscarriage, Incest (potential father/daughter rape?), obviously gore, violence, murder...

The biggest complaint about this book lands directly in the center of it: Look, I'm sure everyone (I mean the readers) were thrilled for this whole wedding thing to take place...I'm actually happy it did early in the story, rather than at the end like always.

But for the love of GOD. Why did it take half the book to get around to it? There was a whole ass war going on, folks. But we have chapter after chapter after chapter leading up to the nuptials.

So much of that time could have been spent building to the ending of the story, instead of just wandering around the city or fighting amongst each other over whether or not to have a formal ceremony.

I think I liked this book less than the ones before it--I'm not sure why. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it! I did! I enjoyed this series as a whole... but by comparison...

This series came to an appropriate end, I think, although there are still a few holes left I'm curious about:

1. Daniel.
2. Vi.
3. The babies. In the Wiki they have names.... how the fuck did they get names when it's not in the book? How do we even know they're both male and female?
4. There are a multitude of mentions about the Crescent Continent... but we never see anything about it in the actual text. It's a shame.
5. The North/Princess Sehra being the daughter or Y-whoever.
6. What happened last winter between Jax and Elicia? Are they a thing or aren't they?

I really enjoyed this ending. I liked seeing Vhalla and Sehra form a good relationship. I enjoyed the ending, I felt like it did a pretty good job wrapping up everyones stories. Can’t wait to continue with Vortex Visions!
