Somewhat tough read. The style is part Dylan, part Nick Hornby. Overall, the topic was very interesting and I think my teenage self, who cherished Jack Kerouac and his style of prose, would love this book for the off beat sense of it. There are some leaps here, but the whole idea of the book is to take leaps of faith and investigate where the leap stems from, so it works.

Mostly over-wrought fanboy drivel, but Marcus writes well, even when he's not thinking quite so well. This did introduce me to Dock Boggs, so it was worth the hyper drama traipsing through Dylan Village. The background on West Virginia is also helpful in trying to understand Trumpland.
