Queen of Song and Souls is the fourth installment in the Tairen soul series. For years I have heard so many amazing things about this series, and its not easy to find a stirring fantasy romance series that captures your heart from the very beginning. This review will be shorter than others, so that I don't give too much away.

Rain and Ellysetta's story has been magical from the moment they first met. They have suffered and have made great strides. In this installment, there is much that we learn about the past of Ellysetta and the future of Rain and Ellysetta. Rain and Ellysetta are coming closer to completing their bond, but time is slowly running out. There is a high level of intensity and emotion that is displayed in this story. In Queen of Song and Souls the danger level of the Eld and Mage have escalated, and Rain and Ellysetta are racing against time to try to gain assistance from their allies. The story is mostly centered around Rain and Ellysetta, and learning about her past and about their destiny. There is quite a bit we learn in this installment.

Overall I couldn't help but admire once again the talent of Wilson. I am still astonished by how much I have enjoyed her. I always love a fantasy romance, and the theme that is present in this series is sensual and epic. The romance between Rain and Ellysetta is intense yet tender too. We see a deeper development in their bond to each other, and there quite a lot of suspense and adventure involved. I loved the aspect of the different combination of danger, romance, and this world that has been created that captures your attention. There is quite a bit of a intensity level here, and it definitely near impossible to put it down. It did leave a bit of a cliff hanger and I will warn you that you will need some tissues to get through this story. But what a great addition to the series and I can't wait to read the last and final installment and find out if Rain and Ellysetta achieve their HEA.

A little slow at first but I absolutely love the relationships and how they talk through things. The politics and motivations of every wine make sense! Looking forward to the final chapter

Wow. So much happened in this book and yet, at times, it felt like just a place holder. As though everything that happened was just to set up the last book. Still a stellar installment.

Another amazing installment from the Tairen Soul Series from C.L. Wilson. More of the saga unfolds, more love, loss, hope and fear. You will laugh, love, hate, and cry with the characters and through it all you will ENJOY. I can not wait for the final installment of this series. It is the best I've read in a long time from the Fantasy Romance category.

You can’t have a great book without heartache, and boy is this book chock full of it. A classic battle between good and evil, this book has everything you want in a fantasy series. Including another cover that I’m glad I don’t have to look at on my Kindle.

I’m in it for the plot now. Though I still don’t like that the Tairen are supposed to be cat like in appearing, and vehemently pretend otherwise, this series is fabulous. I’ve already spent over 30 hours in the past 7 days reading them, and I stayed up much too late last night. Still wondering why she didn’t ask the elves where her sisters are, and in getting annoyed that the bond isn’t complete. Already started the 5th book, so we shall see

In book 4 of the Tairen Soul series, the world has become a much darker place. By the end of this book, though I very much want a happy ending, I'm not sure I'm going to see it. The forces of evil have aligned so completely that I don't know how the author will resolve this. Rain and Ellie are facing insurmountable odds now that fighting has finally started.
The battle scenes are well-written, immersing the reader. There are horrific scenes of torture and worse, though I'm happy to say the author was judicious in how graphic she made them, opting for more relating the results rather than details as it happens. Rain and Ellie have still not completed their true bond. Allies are not coming to the rescue and supposed friends turn traitor.
I'm anxious and I can't wait to see how this ends but I also want to read more slowly, not wanting to leave this wonderful world. Just one book to go...
