If you like action adventure, read this! Charlie is such a great character and I love how start she is and how many facts are included in this series! I’m ready for book 4!

Great middle grade book that doesn’t talk down to the reader and walks the delicate balance between assuming the reader knows history and filling in the gaps of what history may not provide. Spot on for adventure and love that the smartest character you meet is also the youngest and has a knack to get the adults around to listen to them.

We LOVE a smart teen protagonist, especially when it's a girl! Charlie Thorne does NOT disappoint in her latest discovery - a clue of Cleopatra's that explains where her wealth really came from. The story is twisty and turny, takes place across the globe (including the Met and the pyramids!) and includes sailing and private jets. Charlie hacks and solves. Overall, quite the adventure.

As a plus, you learn SO much more about who Cleopatra really was. Some tidbits that I learned for myself (that maybe I should have known but didn't)? Cleopatra was actually Greek and her family basically bought themselves the kingdom of Egypt. Shout out to Charlie for being the greatest teacher of history a teacher could ask for.

SG is excellent as always. I think Charlie Thorne may be my favourite of his series.
