So this trilogy sadly ended at a low point. I really liked book 1 a ton. The assassin -I’m sorry, wetboy- stuff was great and I loved Durzo especially. Then came book 2, in which I also enjoyed the action but had some issues with some of the characters and relationships. And with book 3 I lost a lot of enjoyment along the way. I still liked some of the action and battle stuff, but most of the main characters rubbed me the wrong way. I already didn’t like Kylar/Elene and that didn’t improve. There was also much sexism throughout, and one very icky relationship that I did not like reading about. The history backstory bits were confusing. If I hadn’t invested so much time already into the series by now, I might have DNF’ed.
I just saw that apparently the series gets a new book in 2023, but I will consider this a trilogy and end it here.
